Before there was TWI Certification Ltd, there was the Certification Scheme for Welding and Inspection Personnel (CSWIP). Formed in 1969, CSWIP schemes have continued to develop and grow, adapting to meet the changing needs of industry. This evolution also included a name change in early 2000, to the Certification Scheme for Personnel, to better reflect the wide range of schemes it now encompassed. As such, CSWIP schemes have become one of the foremost personnel certification schemes in the world - with over 40,000 certificate holders worldwide.
UKAS-accredited to ISO/IEC 17024, the international standard for personnel certification, CSWIP and BGAS-CSWIP certificates provide employer confidence in compliance with current standards and regulations, and offer assurance to their customers that their staff are competent and can deliver the product quality and safety required. With over 18 different certification schemes, and over 30 different levels and types of certification within those schemes, CSWIP and BGAS-CSWIP certifications have become a must have within industry.
