Your journey to gain the EWF/IIW Welding Coordinator Diploma

Fri, 16 August, 2024

TWI Certification Ltd (TWI CL) is the UK Approved Nominated Body (ANB) for both the European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF), and International Institute of Welding (IIW), and is responsible for the implementation of the EWF/IIW Welding Coordination Diploma.

At TWI CL, it is our responsibility to ensure that the courses that are delivered through our Approved Training Body (ATB) are to the highest standard, and meet the requirements of the EWF/IIW Welding Coordinator Diploma Syllabus. We also review applicants for their eligibility for entry to the course and examination.

So, what is the process for gaining the EWF/IIW Welding Coordinator Diploma?

First of all, the candidate contacts TWI CL to enquire about the Diploma. They will be requested to provide their contact details, an expanded CV, and copies of their qualifications/certifications as well as any relevant transcripts.

Once received by TWI CL, they will undergo a technical review where the candidate is assessed for eligibility and informed of the decision and sent an enrolment form for completion and return to TWI CL.

At this point the candidate can book their examination dates with TWI CL, and contact TWI Training to book onto the relevant modules.

Once the candidate has completed their training course, they sit their examination administered by TWI CL. Once their results have been issued, dependent on the outcome, the candidate will either progress onto the next steps or resit the exam as appropriate. Once the WPE, DAC and MAB have been sat, the candidate can then sit the FAA module and exam.

Finally, when all four modules have been successfully completed, the candidate will receive their application from TWI CL to apply for their EWF/IIW Welding Coordinator Diploma certificate.

Full details about the course and the benefits are available on our website.
